Reporting a problem in a manual

A report is easiest to act on when it includes:

• the manual's address and the step number, such as [3]
• your environment — OS and tool version (--version output)
• the exact error text or output you got, pasted as text rather than a screenshot

Please remove passwords, tokens, internal host names and personal data from anything you paste.

Suggestions for new manuals and questions about the site are welcome at the same address. Corrections are made in the manual itself, and its update date changes.
