GrepBoard is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, comments or forms.

What is stored in your browser

• Theme choice. When you switch between dark and light, the choice is kept in your browser's local storage and in a cookie named gb_theme set for grepboard.com, so the same theme applies on its sub-domains such as log.grepboard.com. The cookie holds only light or dark and is not used for anything else.
• Search. The search box loads a list of manual titles and summaries from this site. What you type is not sent anywhere.

Visitor statistics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which manuals are read. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and the pages you view. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies; the manuals work the same either way.

GrepBoard Log

log.grepboard.com reads the log files you give it inside your browser. The files are not uploaded; the page is not allowed to make network requests, and it has no analytics.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense shows ads on manual pages. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the service.
